This is slightly edited, but I'm only on chapter 3 at the moment so you know. This is the beginning of it all and personally I'm quite proud of it .
'I still remember that alleyway; I mean it looks different now with the yellow tape, the white chalk outlines and the dented yellow cones with the mean-less numbers on them. But it still stands as a dark alleyway with the same promenade features still there, the blood spattered on the wall, dried but still looks as if it’s dripping. Almost as if it’s frozen in time. The skip, with fracture at one of corners from when he ducked away from the metal pole, which was aimed towards his head. If that call had been made earlier, that may have being the only mark in the alleyway. I can never pass through or by that place. It just holds too much in my head. The screams echo and the hallows of the event. It just....I can’t have thought it ended in the way it did. He was too young; but that why drugs get there appeal because people think their awesome and they’re never going to get hurt. How wrong that is.
I’ll start from the beginning, when that person, who was only a friend, not my best friend. Started to change. Moulding into a person; that was too close to the devil himself. When things were decaying and he turned to them. It wasn’t the substance; it was the whole secretive aspect of it, which changed him. He ended with no trust in anyone. That no trust, killed him in the end. But yet he still trusted me, beyond his family, who disowned him and hated him for what he’d done to them. Tearing them apart. It’s hard to believe that this all happened in a space of 6 months. In half a year, he had set back, after set back and by that time he was a lost cause, I wish the decent person within in him still had power, but he was over run by the drugs and the lifestyle of crime. I really questioned myself why I stuck and looked after him sometimes. The conclusion was because he’d become a brother to me, but he soon became a burden. The Brother who was a burden, new concept? Doubt it.'
Comment if you want to.
